Accessibility Statement

Kentucky Asset Protection is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. Much of our work is with older adults and with families caring for someone living with a disability, so this is not an afterthought for us.

What we are aiming for

We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This statement describes an ongoing effort, not a claim of full conformance. Where we fall short we want to know, and we will fix it.

What we have done

• Descriptive alternative text on the images that carry meaning, and empty alternative text on purely decorative icons so screen readers skip them.
• A keyboard-reachable navigation structure, with the phone menu grouped behind expandable headings rather than one long list, and headings used in a logical order on every page.
• Text and background colors checked against the WCAG contrast minimums, including our gold buttons and labels.
• Pinch-to-zoom and browser text resizing left enabled on every page, with body text at a comfortable default size and generous line spacing.
• A pause control on the moving client-review carousel.
• Content written in plain language, avoiding legal jargon where an ordinary word will do.

Known limitations

• Some PDFs and downloadable documents may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will provide the content in another format.
• Third-party embedded content — our scheduling tool and the client-review feed — is not fully under our control and may not meet the same standard.
• Our accessibility testing to date has been substantially automated. A full manual audit with assistive technology has not yet been completed.

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please contact us. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will work with you to get you the information another way — by phone, by post, or in person at our office. We aim to respond within five business days.
