Effective August 31, 2026
Kentucky Asset Protection ("we", "us", "the firm") operates this website, kap.palmsmedia.io. This policy explains what we collect through the website, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the website only. Information you give us once we represent you is governed by the Kentucky Rules of Professional Conduct and by your engagement agreement, both of which are stricter than this policy.
Information you give us
When you submit our contact form or request a consultation, we collect the name, email address, telephone number, subject and message you provide. When you book through our scheduling link, that information goes to our client-intake system.
Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this website. Contacting us through this site does not create an attorney-client relationship, and information you send before we agree to represent you may not be privileged. See our Terms and Conditions.
Information collected automatically
Our web host and our security and content-delivery provider record standard server data: IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page, and date and time. We use it to operate and secure the site.
How you found us. When you arrive, a first-party cookie records the page you landed on, the site or advertisement that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (for example a Google, Meta or Microsoft click identifier). If you later send us a form, that information, your IP address and your browser type are stored with your submission and included in the email that notifies us, so we know which of our marketing reached you. These cookies last up to twelve months and hold no name or contact details.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It sets cookies and reports aggregated usage to us. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Advertising. We use Google Ads conversion tracking and remarketing, which may show you our advertisements on other websites. You can manage this at myadcenter.google.com and in the ad settings of your Google account.
Telephone calls
We use a call-tracking service to route and measure calls to the numbers on this site. It records the number you call from, the number you dialed, the date, time and duration of the call, and the marketing source of the call. Some calls may be recorded for quality and accuracy. Where a call is recorded you will hear a notice at the start of the call, and you may ask us to stop the recording or write to us instead.
Cookies
The site sets cookies that are necessary for it to work, plus the attribution, analytics and advertising cookies described above. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although some of our measurement will stop. Necessary cookies cannot be refused without breaking parts of the site.
How we use information
To respond to inquiries; to schedule and conduct consultations; to provide legal services where we are engaged; to operate, secure and improve the site; to measure our marketing; and to meet our legal and professional obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
Service providers who work on our behalf and are bound to protect it: our web host, our security and content-delivery provider, our email provider, our client-intake and practice-management system, our call-tracking provider, and Google for analytics and advertising. We may also disclose information where required by law, court order or the rules of professional conduct, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become client matters are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above and to run conflict checks. Client files are retained under the firm's file-retention policy and the applicable rules of professional conduct.
Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit. No website is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information sent over the internet. This is another reason not to send confidential information through this site.
Your choices
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will honor reasonable requests except where we must keep information for legal, professional-conduct or conflict-checking reasons. Contact us using the details below; we may need to verify your identity first.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do, and material changes will be noted on this page.
